Primitivo di Manduria Le Clivie is a structured, fruity and enveloping wine.
Sumptuous and velvety, it is characterised by the unmistakable scents of the Mediterranean maquis and mineral nuances.
Primitivo di Manduria is the Apulian wine of the Ionian Sea par excellence. The vineyards, in which the alberello (bush) vine training system is used, are influenced by sea breeze and salty atmosphere which enhance the particular character of this wine.
A tribute to the Greek poet Homer, who described the sea as being “the colour of wine”, this wine is an ode to the sea, Pelagos, in ancient Greek.
“Dark cherry fruit, a minty touch with structured tannins and freshness on the finish. Glossy.”
