Barolo Bussia DOCG Bordà Le Clivie

We tasted for you Barolo Bussia DOGG Bordà Le Clivie by Dacastello Vini.

By Wine Meridian Editorial Staff

The prestigious “Le Clivie” line includes the Barolo Bussia DOCG, a wine of absolute nobility in the Italian panorama, which is born in the hills surrounding Monforte d'Alba, a true stronghold of the Nebbiolo grape used for the Barolo di Dacastello in the “Le Clivie” selection.

The uniqueness of this Barolo is given both by the Prince grape variety of this area and by a very complex and mineral terroir that forms the character and exclusivity of this wine.

The intensity of the ruby color and the light garnet nuances accompany the taster towards a precise and complex nose, ample in spicy and liquorice notes, accompanied by citrus sensations and red undergrowth fruit.

In the mouth, the softness protects its expressiveness and structure which bring out an excellent freshness balanced by silky tannins, with an almost balsamic finish.

The nobility of this wine goes well with dishes of great value, especially sought after in the quality of the raw materials, above all venison or marsh fowl, fillet Wellington or Piedmontese cheeses.
